For 2010 the CVCA has once again selected an open car; in this case it's a 1967 Pontiac GTO convertible. The drive train is a '67 Pontiac 400 H.O., backed up by a close-ratio Muncie M-21 4-speed, stirred by the factory Hurst linkage, and a set of 4.11:1 gears on a posi-traction carrier in the original 10-bolt rear end. The engine has been updated with an Edelbrock Performer aluminum manifold mounting an Edelbrock carb & air cleaner and Cal Custom finned aluminum valve covers. Spark is provided by a Pertronix breakerless ignition conversion. The spent gasses pass through the original H.O. "cast iron header" exhaust manifolds to a complete 2-½" Flowmaster system.

On the outside, a fresh coat of GM metallic pearl Fire Red was laid down by Todd Aslett which perfectly complements the 45-series Toyo Proxes-Z rubber and Foose Legend 5-Spoke rims. The bumpers and other trim pieces are once again bright & shiny courtesy of Ogden Chrome.

Inside it's mainly restored stock, except for an engine-turned overlay on the dash & console for a bit of a street rod feel. Tunes are provided by a Sony sound system installed by Stokes Brothers.
